DJs Dragon and Trajikk, two of the most recognizable names on the local scene, are teaming up to celebrate the release of their new mix CD, NRG Session v1.0, on Thursday, July 3, at Beta. The release – and the tag-team set they'll be playing that night – will feature the types of sounds the two have been playing regularly at their Thursday-night residency. "I started out as a trance DJ, when trance was big. I built a following off of that, but both of our sounds have matured quite a bit," Dragon explains. "We ride the line between commercial and underground very well." Expect to hear an eclectic blend of progressive, techno, high-energy house and electro. Or, as Dragon puts it, "anything that will get the kids going." If you need any more incentive to get out of the house, the first 100 people in the door get a free copy of the disc, and Monster will supply energy drinks all night long.
