Whether you’re interested in aerial dance purely as a spectator or you’re itching to get in on the action, this year’s Aerial Dance Festival has something for everyone. “It’s the only thing like it in the world,” says Nancy Smith, artistic and managing director of Frequent Flyers Productions. “You’ll never have a chance to see these performers together on the same stage anywhere else in the world.”

Today starting at 6 p.m. at the Dairy Center for the Arts, 2590 Walnut Street in Boulder, the festival features all things flipping and flying, including classes ranging from stilts and fabric to aerial yoga and fixed trapeze. Spectator events include showcase performances (August 8, 9 and 10), a tenth-anniversary historic performance (August 15), a student repertory class performance (a showcase of advanced students on August 16) and various brown-bag lunches.

Ticket prices vary. The festival runs through August 16; for more information, swing over to www.frequentflyers.org.
Fri., Aug. 8, 8 p.m.; Sat., Aug. 9, 2 & 8 p.m.; Sun., Aug. 10, 2 p.m., 2008
