There’s no denying that roller derby has experienced a revival, which explains why Denver is able to support two roller derby teams, one of which is headed to Colorado Springs today to participate in a double-header bout. The Rocky Mountain Rollergirls’ 5280 Fight Club will take on the Fort Collins Girls Gone Derby’s Kung Fu Donnas today at 4 p.m. in the Colorado Springs City Auditorium, 221 East Kiowa Street in Colorado Springs.

Halftime entertainment will be provided by the Mizmar Madness Belly Dancers, and the second bout of the evening — the Pikes Peak Derby Dames’ All-Stars versus the Salt City Derby Girls’ Salt City Shakers — starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.
