Sure, you can peruse Vogue’s fall fashion issue to see the latest trends, but a better option awaits you at the third annual Absolute! Fabulous! Gorgeous! drag and fall fashion show presented by the Boulder Country AIDS Project tonight at the Diary Center for the Arts, 2590 Walnut Street in Boulder.

Men’s and women's fashions from Boulder shops Kinsley & Company and Starr’s Clothing Company will light up the runway; in between, you can catch ten drag numbers from eleven lovely gals, making this at least 90 percent more fun than your average fashion show.

Absolute! Fabulous! Gorgeous! is organized by and benefits Atlas, BCAP’s HIV-prevention program. “From the sound technician to the videographer to the ushers, graphic design artist and most of the models, everyone involved is part of the Atlas program,” says Atlas program coordinator and event founder Frank O’Cana. “This is an event we use to help build community and bring the core group of volunteers closer.”

Doors open at 7 p.m. for an outreach and informational reception. The show starts at 8 p.m., and Bud Coleman, director of theater at the University of Colorado at Boulder, will emcee.
