Theres not a rock guitarist alive who cant claim that at least a teensy bit of the Jimi Hendrix vibe flows in his veins; even today, the voodoo childs screaming licks and dead-on phrasing still give ya the shivers, though hes been dead for more than thirty years. Thats why Gibson Guitar and Jimis dad, who oversees the Hendrix legacy, gathered a diverse lineup that includes Buddy Guy, Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Eric Johnson, Hubert Sumlin, Cesar Rojas and David Hildago, along with one-time Hendrix sidemen Mitch Mitchell and Billy Cox, to hit the road for Experience Hendrix, a mass homage with enough star power to light up the entire city for a week. Scuse me while I kiss the sky!
