I’ve always envied Henry Rollins for being unafraid to speak his mind; of course, it helps when you look as intimidating as he does. Outspoken and impassioned about topics ranging from pop culture to politics, the man probably has a lot to get off his chest in this pivotal year.

The former singer of Black Flag and the Rollins Band brings his Recountdown Tour to the Boulder Theater, 2032 14th Street in Boulder, to say good riddance to the bad rubbish that was the Bush administration. As this goes to press, the fate of our country remains unknown, as does the tone of this post-election appearance. If McCain wins, will Rollins unleash a tirade about the incompetency of Americans or how the election was surely rigged? If Obama wins, will this be a rare opportunity to see someone so notoriously ranty actually wax optimistic about the state of the world?

Tickets ($26) for the 9 p.m., all-ages performance can be purchased at www.bouldertheater.com, www.ticketmaster.com or 303-786-7030.
