Christmas Cheer

The DCTC brings back a holiday favorite.

After battling the crowds at the stores on Black Friday, even cheery holiday lovers can find themselves bogged down with the bah-humbugs. Leave it to the Denver Center Theatre Company’s annual production of A Christmas Carol — and adjunct events — to help warm your already-weary heart.

More About

Directed by Bruce K. Sevy, with music by David de Berry, the show runs through December 27. Today, there’s a festive holiday Tea & Theatre, featuring finger foods and desserts from Epicurean Catering served in the Seawell Grand Ballroom prior to the 1:30 p.m. performance. This year’s tea is sold out, but due to high demand, the DCTC hopes to hold more than one Tea & Theatre event next year. Mark your calendars!

In the meantime, tickets are still available for Wine & Theatre on Wednesday, December 10, which will feature holiday-themed wines and desserts. The evening begins with a 6:30 p.m. performance of the play, followed by a dessert buffet and wine pairings. With a little chocolate and a lot of wine, even the biggest Scrooge can’t help but feel some holiday cheer. Tickets, $97, are available at www.denvercenter.org.
