Boutique for the Soul, taking place tonight from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Resonance Center for Bodywork, is a free networking-mixer/holiday-shopping event that will include vendors selling gifts of jewelry, healing blankets and wines, says Tina Laue, an acupuncturist at the Resonance Center. “It’s a group of women that are all different healers,” Laue explains of the partnership that began in September. “There are two acupuncturists, three massage therapists and a nutrition counselor. We all own our own business but have a network of support. We have a joint website and market and brainstorm together. It’s a really nice energy between everybody. We’re all getting to know what each other does, and it’s shocking how different each person is, the difference in their work and the way they can help you.”

A Boutique for the Soul, an organization that promotes women’s businesses and hosts similar boutique parties around the Denver area, is co-hosting tonight’s event. Laue says she and her fellow healers will be handing out goodie bags with coupons and special deals — like two-for-one massages during the event — to entice new clients.

Acupuncture, however, isn’t something you try once and get hooked on, she says: “You want to give it four to six weeks. It’s a subtle way of balancing the body.”
