Its one of the few concerts this time of year that speaks to the deeper meaning of the solstice season, says director Sue Coffee. We include no Christmas mu-sic or standard religious holiday music, so its like an oasis for people who feel the spirit of the time of year but dont want it translated through the holiday lens. What youll get instead is a non-traditional repertoire ranging from a Lucinda Williams tune to the premiere of a work by Denver composer Scott Higgins.
Tonights final seasonal performance begins at 7 p.m. at Columbine Unity Church, 8900 Arapahoe Avenue in Boulder; tickets are $15 to $20, and reservations for the popular concert are recommended. Call 303-473-4525.
