Get ready to get twisted. One of the most innovative, intense and flat-out insane artists in the world is coming to Aquarius on January 31. I'm talking about the incomparable Otto von Schirach. He's loud, he's crude, and he's the very essence of awesome. His discography includes such tasteless titles as Maxipad Detention and Global Speaker Fisting, and there's no doubt that his speaker-rupturing, brain-melting sound isn't for everyone; it owes at least as large a debt to pure noise as it does to the standard dance-music lexicon. Regardless, his music is wholly capable of inspiring a full-on delirious dance party of Dionysian proportions. More important, von Schirach is one of the most dynamic performers working in electronic music, and an absolute must-see for fans of the genre.
