For their first date, my dad took my mom, whose name is Sandy, to the drive-in to see Grease. The movie was a constant in my house. I watched it during every sleepover and listened to the soundtrack while I rollerskated in my basement. Im pretty sure I knew every line of dialogue as well as lyrics by the time I was old enough to speak. As a six-year-old, I was playing Olivia Newton-John as Sandy, singing, You better shape up, cause I need a man! into a hairbrush in the bathroom mirror. And today I cant think of a better way to escape my grown-up reality than a Grease Sing-A-Long.
