The work of three acclaimed international directors comes together in the anthology film Tokyo!,showing tonight as part of the International Film Series. In Boulder Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind), Leos Carax (Pola X) and Bong Joon-ho (The Host) each contribute pieces that offer widely divergent and fantastic takes on modern Japan. “It’s really the last film on my spring calendar, and I always like to put something kind of fun on the last spot, leave people with a good taste in their mouth,” explains Pablo Kjolseth, director of the IFS. “I have shown films that have traumatized people, and I didn’t want to end on that note.”

Catch it April 24 and 25 at 7 and 9:15 p.m. at Muenzinger Auditorium on the CU campus in Boulder. Tickets are $6, or $5 for CU-Boulder students with ID. For more info, visit www.internationalfilmseries.com or call 303-492-1531.
