When there are no more open lanes in hell, the dead will roll on Earth. Or at least that seems to be implied strongly by the existence of the Zom Bowl-A-Thon tonight, a fundraiser for the upcoming locally produced movie Atom the Amazing Zombie Killer from Bizjack/Flemco productions. “I thought it would be cool to do a bowling fundraiser since the movie is set in a bowling alley,” explains co-writer/director/producer Richard Taylor. “We like to say it’s going to be The Big Lebowski meets Night of the Living Dead. It’s mostly a guy going out killing people he thinks are zombies. And a lot of boobies, too. I only put what I want to see in movies, and I like boobies.” For $25, you’ll get five games, shoe rental, free Chinese food and the music of the Pinkoes and the Insomniaxe.

Dress like a zombie to win prizes from Taylor’s production company, including DVDs of The Misled Romance of Cannibal Girl and Incest Boy.

The dead will bowl starting at 6 p.m. at the Golden Bowl, 525 24th Street in Golden. And if you’re interested in lending your talents to the production, Taylor says this will be a great chance to meet the cast and crew. For more info, visit www.myspace.com/atomthezombiekiller.
