Wine and Dine

Time to don your ten-gallon hat, some spurs, maybe some ass-less chaps (over your rugged jeans, of course), your gold pan, your six-shooter, a fair maiden and your favorite horse, and head on down to Four Mile Historic Park for a good old-fashioned box social.

Okay, I exhausted just about every cowboy stereotype I’ve got right there, but really, you only need your palate and your nose for the sixth annual Corks and Cuisine event at the historic landmark at 715 South Forest Street. Four Mile is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year, and it’s a great time to show your support.

“This event started as a fundraising event,” explains development associate MacKenzie Rauert, “with a unique way for Four Mile Historic Park to showcase our facility of twelve acres of indoor and outdoor space.”

But it’s become more than that, says Rauert, because now it “also gives you a chance to meet and sample the caterers that work with us. And what the heck — you might as well throw in some good wine!”

This year’s Corks and Cuisine will include offerings from the Food Guy, Three Tomatoes and Gourmet Fine Catering, as well as the Bonaquisti Wine Company, Garfield Estates Vineyard and Winery, Palisade Grande River Vineyards and more.
