If you love classic cars and the culture that surrounds them, it’s time to slick back your pompadour, gas up the dinosaur (leaded gas only, of course) and head out for the tenth annual Cruisin’ the Lanes Night. This is your chance to hang with other lovers of classic cars, ogle their big, bad roadsters and bowl a few games to a soundtrack of ’50s and ’60s rock, rockabilly and big band-classics. “It’s our tenth anniversary at Crown Lanes. It’s more like a good, old-fashioned ’50s cruise night. People come and go literally all day,” says Cruisin’ Dave, your host. “We open it up to everybody. When you get there, you just sign up and get a ticket for prizes.”

All automotive enthusiasts are welcome to bring their vehicles, from classic street rods and cruisers to custom bikes and lowriders. There will be a special display of hot rods from the Hoodlums car club, lots of prizes for cool cars, a variety of vendors, a barbecue and more. The fun runs from 5 to 9 p.m. tonight at Crown Lanes, 2325 South Federal Boulevard. It’s free to check out the cars and hang out, and you can bowl for just a dollar a game all night. For more info, visit www.cruisinproductions.com or call 303-399-4256.
