In Dharmic culture, theres a concept called seva: Like Judaisms tzedakah or Catholic charity, its the spirit of giving back to the community. For Nancy Levenson of NamasteWorks Yoga, the free ongoing Yoga in the Park Summer Series in Highlands Ranch is her annual act of seva. Its all about bringing in the morning in a peaceful way, she says, and the towns Civic Green Park, built with meditation in mind (it features a mind/body garden, massage labyrinth and Om stones among its many amenities), is the perfect spot for the hour of gentle yoga practice offered there twice weekly through the summer, with a special appeal for yoga novices.
