One of the best, unsung results of the burlesque revival is the advent of boylesque. Think about it: Until boylesque burst onto the scene, male exotic dancers weren’t taken seriously. Of course, they’re still not, but by incorporating humor into their performance and refusing to take themselves seriously, suddenly these dancers can go from slightly foolish to unbelievably sexy.

The folks at Lannie’s Clocktower Cabaret recognize this, and have always incorporated one or two boylesque acts into their burlesque shows. “SinJyn has become really popular,” says the Clocktower’s Kim Franco. “A lot of times when we change up a show -- the lineup changes weekly -- everyone wants to know if he’s coming. So we decided to try a summer run with him.” The rest of the boylesque lineup will change weekly, but SinJyn will be the mainstay of the Clocktower CockTails All Male Revue.

“He’s comical; he’s a choreographer and an acrobat -- he’s incredibly acrobatic,” Franco continues. “He includes all of his amazing choreography, and he’ll literally do handstand pushups on a chair while someone’s sitting in the chair. A lot of it is just really fun. He’s very playful, and incredibly beautiful to look at as well. He’s a really nice combination of playful and funny and outrageously sexy.”
