Funny Boy

Moshe Kasher is not your grandma’s Jewish comedian. Good!

Indie comic Moshe Kasher has it all going for him: youth, brains, wit, a twisted edge and an inside track on what’s really funny in the 21st century. Once you’ve seen him, you won’t forget him. Comedy Works maven Wende Curtis certainly didn’t after she caught his “Best of the Fest” performance at this year’s Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival; she busted a gut over the anything-but-traditional Jewish comedian’s routine, and brought him in from Oakland for a three-night stand that starts with a 7:30 p.m. show tonight at Comedy Works South, 5345 Landmark Place in Greenwood Village.

Kasher, who’s also appeared on Jamie Foxx’s Laffapalooza and at the San Francisco SketchFest, will continue his limited local run with two performances nightly on Friday and Saturday; for showtimes and tickets, $12 to $20, go to www.comedyworks.com or call 720-274-6800.
