Lannie’s rocks the house with the After Church Sunday Social.
Ruby Ann’s Great Big After Church Sunday Social at Lannie's Clocktower Cabaret is a chance to liven up your Sunday afternoons with a little singin', rollickin', doublewide Southern fun. “After church on Sundays in the South, we'd get together with some food and singing and gossiping, and basically you get to know your neighbor and have a good time,” says singer and author Ms. Ruby Ann. “At Lannie's, we do a lot of stuff with the audience. We also do some cooking and crafts — and the cooking is so fast and easy even a man could do it. There are even drink specials so the Methodists can have a good time.”
Starting at 1 p.m. every Sunday through September 27, the Sunday Social features a constantly changing lineup of singing, cooking, games, prizes, audience interaction and advice. “For example, one thing I've told people is that I know in Salida and up by Golden, they like that natural look,” says Ruby Ann. “But when was the last time you heard a man go, ‘Whoo, that Amish woman is rocking my world?’ That don't happen. You gotta put that makeup on.”
