Books and painting share equal space in the heart of Arts at Denver gallery owner Paula Colette Conley, and the venues current exhibit, Cover Art, is the direct result of those twin affections: a series of paintings inspired by literature. I truly do love books just as much as I love painting. I thought it would be fun to have [the artists] be inspired by the written word instead of what theyre looking at, Conley explains. The fun of it is they had to pick something they liked. Conley asked artists to contribute works based on their favorite parts of their favorite books, whether it was the main theme or simply a paragraph or two.
