Follow the Leaping Lines

The new exhibition Time and Attention: Cinema, Prints and Drawings by Eric Waldemar, opening tonight at Ironton Studios & Gallery, will be “smart and strange,” the artist promises. That’s almost inevitable, considering the mix: part video and part two-dimensional work, the show explores where the media diverge and connect, eerily, in sometimes identical images, particularly in a complicated piece called "The Unsecret Block," which comes as close as Waldemar’s ever gotten to successfully merging solitary and animated images in a beautiful dance of lines and shapes.

See Time and Attention at an October 23 reception from 6 to 10 p.m. at Ironton, 3636 Chestnut Place in RiNo; the exhibit continues through November 28. During the run, Waldemar will also host periodic screenings of other video and film works from his portfolio; visit www.ericwaldemar.com for information and updates. For exhibit info, visit www.irontonstudios.com or call 303-297-8626.
