Halloween’s over, and you know what that means: The holiday shopping season is on. It’s time to start hitting the craft sales and markets, and one of the nicest around — the enormous Handweavers Guild of Boulder Fiber Art Show and Sale— can be found this week at the Boulder County Fairgrounds, where the work of weavers, knitters, beaders, quilters, doll makers, basket makers and other fiber artisans will abound. In addition to the sale, the guild will feature a gallery-worthy juried exhibit showcasing innovative works by members in a variety of fiber mediums.

Start hunting now for a hat for Aunt Harriet or a fancy scarf for your BFF; the sale is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. today through Friday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at the fairgrounds, 9595 Nelson Road in Longmont. Admission is free; for more information, go to www.handweaversofboulder.org.
