Drawing and Draughts

I was first introduced to Jubelale in 2003 by a buddy who loved the beer only slightly more than the artwork, which he collected and framed. The posters were so cool that his wife allowed him to hang them in the living room. Made by the renowned Deschutes Brewery in Bend, Oregon, Jubelale is a festive winter beer whose annual release (since 1994) has always been accompanied by a new piece of label art; a different Oregon artist is used every time. Now Deschutes is taking the images on a national Jubelale Art Tour. “They are trying to get the awareness out there about Jubelale,” says Nicole Jarman of Hob Nob Events. “It’s a different way to look at the beer.”
