Bad sweaters. College football games. You know they’re connected somehow, with ties that go back decades, to the days of raccoon coats and the Charleston. Perhaps that’s why the Mile High Bowl Association, an organization dedicated to bringing a college bowl game to Colorado, decided to throw the first annual Ugly Sweater Party to raise awareness of the cause. And funds for it, too.
At tonight’s event, which runs from 6 to 10:30 p.m. at the Champions Club at Invesco Field at Mile High, partiers will enjoy dinner and drinks, and also get to participate in a silent auction and various drawings, including one to win a trip for two to the BCS Championship Game in Pasadena. The only stipulation? You must proudly attend in your worst sweater ever, displaying an appropriate level of gridiron spirit. Rah!
