Tonights stop at Coyote Ugly, the tours fifth, pits 64 (or more) teams of two against one another on octagonal, dominator-style tables. Theyll compete for $200 in cash, tickets to an Avalanche game and a spot in Mays Grand Championship tourney, which determines who goes to Vegas. Those who lose early or simply dont have the balls to play will find DJ EZ spinning all night and a party atmosphere like no other.
Its not like a friggin dudefest or anything, says organizer Wes Gingher, who adds that 80 percent of participants are just there for the good time. A ton of girls come out for these things good-looking girls, especially at Coyote Ugly, since theyll be dancing on the bar and all that.
Entry is $40 (or $35 in matching uniforms) and required in advance by e-mailing signup@gingperial.com. Pool play begins at 7 p.m., with a single-elimination tournament to follow. Coyote Ugly is at 500 16th Street, in the Denver Pavilions. Get more information at www.gingperial.com.
