Confession time: Every time Legally Blonde, the 2001 Reese Witherspoon/Selma Blair/Luke Wilson vehicle airs on television, I settle down with a bowl of popcorn and lose myself in the world of sorority queen Elle Woods, who enrolls in Harvard Law School to win back a boyfriend who doesn't think she's "serious" enough to help him with his political aspirations. Yeah, it's a silly story, and sure, there might be better things to do with my time, but I can't help it. I just like the plots and the characters; it's one of those stories I can revisit time and again without getting bored.
So, naturally, I was stoked to hear that the Tony-nominated Legally Blonde: The Musical is coming to Denver on its first national tour, stopping at the Denver Performing Arts Complex's Buell Theatre for a two-week run that ends on February 14. Tickets start at just $20; call 303-893-4100 or visit www.denvercenter.org.
