Go Mad for Mod Men

The Rebelle by Tootsies salon is sending a “love letter to our women clients” tonight by hosting a men’s fashion and hair show. The fashions are from Boss Vintage and Fancy Tiger, and they’ll be hanging on models hand-picked by house barber Jordan Weinstein, who promises, “My standards are pretty high in terms of male aesthetics.” In other words, these guys are hot. Mod Men will also allow Weinstein, who arrived from L.A. six months ago, to showcase his talents, which include hot shaves and other traditional barber services. The concept for the show, which looks at 1960s men’s fashion — comes from Weinstein’s desire to put old-school men’s grooming in a contemporary context.

A bit of burlesque featuring instructors from Tease Studio will follow the fashion show, so there’s eye candy for everyone. Doors at Rebelle, 3921 Tennyson Street, open at 7 p.m.; Hotmixology.com will be slinging cocktails to round out the early-’60s Mad Men theme.
