"It's an introductory celestial-sky program for ages ten and up," says Peg Alig, naturalist at Lookout Mountain Nature Center. "The astronomy team will have sky maps up and will teach about constellation and different star groups. Mars will be up and also Saturn, later in the evening. Two telescopes will be set up to look at deep-space objects, star clusters and the Andromeda galaxy."

The free program, which will focus on the changing seasons and the equinox, will start at 7:30 p.m. at Pine Valley Ranch Open Space Park, 30400 Crystal Lake Road in Pine. Registration is required — and it looks like this one could close out fast.
