Food and Shelter

The clan from Vesta Dipping Grill and Steuben’s are renowned for their generosity, hosting shindigs throughout the year to benefit local nonprofits. But Plates for the Peak is their baby — an event, says executive chef Matt Selby, that “was created by us for an organization that we really believe in, an organization committed to helping youth at risk.”

Now in its seventh year, the small-plates soiree and silent auction, which kicks off at 6 p.m. at Vesta, 1822 Blake Street, trumpets the talents of numerous all-star guest chefs — Brian Laird (Barolo Grill); Keegan Gerhard (D Bar Desserts); Tyler Wiard (Elway’s Cherry Creek); Sheila Lucero (Jax Denver and Boulder); Brendon Doyle (Jonesy’s); Jamey Fader (Lola); Brandon Biederman (Steuben’s); Troy Guard (TAG); James Rugile (Venue); and Wade Kirwin, Curtis Caldwell, Brandon Foster and Kenny Turk, all stove sergeants from Vesta. “I can’t say enough about all the participating chefs — just that it’s very special to me when they’re all here under the Vesta roof giving their talent and heart to this cause,” says Selby.

The $65 ticket, which includes food and cocktails, DJ tunes and a visual arts demonstration by the kids of Urban Peak, can be purchased at www.urbanpeak.org/newsevents.html or at the door. For additional info, dial 303-974-2935.
