It takes a certain amount of finesse to make a career out of cavorting around in a blue Lycra bunny suit. If there’s evidence that it can be done, though, it’s Scotty the Blue Bunny, whose flaming, hyperactive act is eclectic, always eccentric, and very hard to pigeonhole.

Here’s how he describes it: “Through a combination of juggling, butt balloon-busting and fart noises, I hope to reach a new reality.” He then spends a few seconds ruminating on the word order of the phrase “butt balloon-busting” and where the hyphen should go, which is a pretty good indication of the way he operates. But oddball as it is, Scotty says there’s a serious side to the act: “We’re gonna have to talk about some stuff,” he muses. “I’m concerned about the subhuman regard toward people that results in this strange legislation not to let gay people get married, or that leads people to war.

“But,” he adds, “I’m also interested in sass.”
