If gig posters excite you almost as much or more than the shows they advertise, if you dont feel like you really know a band until youve got its poster on your wall, or even if you just want to look at memorabilia from your misspent hippie youth, the Mile High Rock Poster and Art Expo is a great place to get your fix. Everything from the classic psychedelic designs of the 60s to todays latest designs will be on display and for sale for collectors both serious and casual.

More About
Its a very visual medium; its all about graphics, its all about design, says John Borghi, one of the organizers. You collect them for the sake of the art, or the artist or the band. People do all three things. Poster collecting is a lot of fun. Its a nice hobby to get into.
A number of notable poster artists will be there, including Richard Biffle, Phil Lewis, Ryan Kerrigan and Tripp, among others. Youll also find concert photography, band T-shirts and live paintings pieces created as a band plays, as a visual accompaniment on display and for sale. The show runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at the Aloft Hotel, 8300 Arista Place in Broomfield; tickets are $5. For more information, visit www.rockartexpo.com or call 303-527-2701.
