Hard-Core for the Whole Family
You’ve got to hand it to the Insane Clown Posse: These guys have a tie-in for everything — which made Juggalo-themed wrestling pretty much an inevitability. “Yeah, it’s pretty Juggalo, a little white trash,” says Andrew Ranes of Casselman’s, the venue that’s hosting Primo’s Hardcore Wrestling Karnival. “This one should be a good one, though, because it’s close to Halloween. Maybe they’ll bring the costumes and stuff.”
Joey McDougal, who’s promoting the event, offers a clarification: “Well, it’s Juggalo-friendly.” The real difference between hard-core and normal wrestling, he says, is that “we use weapons. It’s pretty wild; there’s going to be crazy violence. There’s going to be blood, guaranteed. We encourage people to bring the whole family.”
