The UCBs list of performers and alumni is massive, and the Denver shows will feature two relative newcomers on the scene, Alex Berg and Alex Fernie, both part of UCBs Los Angeles division. Although you might not recognize their names, the two were hand-picked from the best improv comedians in New York and Los Angeles. Nothing is pre-ordained, but these guys have been performing together for years, says director and coordinating producer Carter Edwards, and of course nothing is rehearsed. Despite improvisations inherent lack of planning, audiences can definitely plan on seeing an hour and a half of witty, spontaneous comedy.
The show starts at 8 p.m. at Bovine Metropolis Theater, 1527 Champa Street; tickets are $22.50. Improvisation classes will also be offered at the theater today and tomorrow, at $85 per class. For more information, go to www.bovinemetropolis.com or call 303-758-4722.
