Unless youve got the creativity gene of Martha Stewart, building gingerbread houses is better left to the experts. Luckily for you, the confectioners at Jills restaurant, in Boulders St Julien Hotel, are masters of sugar, spice and everything nice. As part of the hotels annual Gingerbread Tea service, which gets under way today, they are crafting personalized gingerbread cottages for guests to take home at $30 a pop; profits will benefit Boulders I Have a Dream Foundation.

More About
Guests can pick up their houses during the restaurants holiday tea service, which includes homemade scones, tea sandwiches, petits fours, live piano music from Grammy Award winner Ralph Sharon, and a kids do-it-yourself gingerbread cookie decorating station supervised by the pastry staff. Its a really unique and fun experience for the whole family, and its always a great hit, says tea manager April Reola, adding that the kids get a chefs hat, apron and gift bag. We make it really simple for them, and the kids and pastry chefs have a really good time decorating the cookies.
