If you’re Jewish and looking for something to do today, Heebonism 2010 is the do for you. Organized by E-3 Events, a not-for-profit organization that hosts social gatherings for young Jewish adults in Denver, it will be the largest Heebonism party to date. “We supplanted the notorious Matzoh Ball three years ago, which had basically turned into a deadly singles party your mother wanted you to attend to find a mate,” notes E-3 co-founder Eric Elkins.

This year’s bash, held at the Jet Hotel, will start with free tequila drinks from Tequila Proximus for the first hour, and DJs Ginger Perry and Klaw will provide the music. There will also be performance art, which Elkins describes as “very offensive but very funny,” from Mike Disco and Rose of Beauty Bar. And the Jet is offering discounted room rates for the occasion; packages start at $99 and include two tickets to the party.

Doors open at 8:30 p.m. at the hotel, 1612 Wazee Street. Tickets are $18 in advance and $25 at the door — or pay just $20 with a donation of three non-perishable food items for Jewish Family Service. Find more information at www.e-3events.com.
