Quick, before grunge nostalgia sets in, party like it's 1989 when Diamond Cabaret and After Dark host Lollipop, featuring performances by Young MC and Tiffany. Set those leg warmers and acid-wash jeans free to find their groove with the posse of national and local DJs spinning at both clubs, and when the sea of neon starts to hurt your eyes, you can rest them on your favorite Diamond dancers, who'll be paring the ’80s look down to the bare essentials.
The ’80s were fun, sexy and over the top, like New Year's should be," says Justin Moss, a spokesman for producer Toast & Jam. "And even if you're too young to remember who Tiffany was, this event will throw you right into the best of the ’80s to make some memories of your own."
Lollipop runs from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. at 511 West Colfax Avenue. The $49 ticket (ages 21+) covers entrance to the Diamond Cabaret and Steakhouse and After Dark. A $99 VIP pass comes with perks including an artist meet-and-greet and event T-shirt.
