That itch eventually took her to Los Angeles and her bone-dry deadpan standup, which in turn led her to such illustrious credits as a recurring role on the Sarah Silverman Program and a recent appearance on NBCs Community, plus appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. Current projects include developing a variety show with Siverman, whom she calls a close friend, and cutting an album ― another example of her ties to the music industry. Fittingly, she'll make making an appearance tonight not at a comedy club, but at the hi-dive, 7 South Broadway. The 21+ show starts at 8 p.m. and tickets run $12; for more information, visit www.hi-dive.com.
