Among its many outreach programs, Curious Theatre Companys Curious New Voices curriculum for youth is one of the strongest, and certainly one of the coolest: In progress since 2004, the program matches young playwrights ages 15 to 21 with guest mentors, under the auspices of Curious founding member Dee Covington, often culminating in performances of student works. In conjunction with current Curious production Circle Mirror Transformation, Annie Bakers well-written comedy acted out under the guise of a community drama class, the present batch of budding dramatists will be showcased in Inside Out, a series of three performances, each featuring a separate program of ten-minute student plays inspired by the Circle Mirror theme of looking at characters and storylines from a private point of view.
