The Snowsports Industries America (SIA) Snow Show that starts today at the Colorado Convention Center is mostly about business and mostly closed to the public. So if you want a piece of the action, get a job. Seriously: One of the primary parts open to the public is the SchmoozaPalooza Job Fair, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow in the fourth-floor Korbel Ballroom, sponsored by SIA and action-sports industry jobs site Malakye.com and featuring at least a dozen ski and snowboard companies you’d be stoked to work for.

“Other than that, I’d recommend locals check out the Mile High Snow Fest,” says SIA spokeswoman Anovia Daniels. “Never Summer Snowboards is hosting the Snowdown SIA kickoff party at City Hall. On Friday, Icelantic Skis is bringing Big Boi and other hip-hop art-ists to the Ogden, and the Fillmore is hosting the TransWorld Snowboarding Riders’ Poll Awards. There are parties going on all over town all weekend, and we’re also going to be showing The Way I See It, from Colorado-based film company Matchstick Productions, all week on an outdoor LED screen at Denver Pavilions.”

Other SIA events open to the public include the Ski Channel Film Festival which runs today through Saturday in rooms 301-304 at the Convention Center (purchase tickets at www.theskichannel.com/skifilmfest/tickets.php and Innovations, Now, a free exhibit showcasing trends and emerging technologies in snowsports equipment, apparel and accessories.
