Lou Barlow is no fool. His sad-man side project, Sebadoh, released some of the first great lo-fi rock albums some twenty years ago, and he's not about to stand idly by while the I Love the '90s train rolls through contemporary pop culture. This tour coincides with the re-release of Sebadoh's Bake Sale and Harmacy; thus continues Barlow's strange déjà vu after a reunion with old nemesis J Mascis for a victory lap with Dinosaur Jr. that never seemed to convince anyone the two had actually buried the hatchet. Both projects always deserved the attention then that they're getting these days. So feel however you want to feel about potentially opportunistic rock pioneers reuniting: They paid their rebellion dues years ago.
