If you drink — even a drop — of all 400 wines being poured at this year’s DAM Uncorked, the largest fundraiser for the Denver Art Museum, you’ll be far too sloshed to remember what you imbibed come the next morning, which is why we suggest pacing yourself during the three-hour grape romp.

“This is a really fun, festive event that gives savvy wine drinkers and casual wine drinkers alike the opportunity to sample wines from all over the globe, including the Silver Oaks of the world, while supporting what we do here at the museum,” says DAM spokeswoman Ashley Pritchard. And because even the most seasoned winos can’t exist on juice alone, you can soak up the liquid with bites from Kevin Taylor Catering. The evening includes live jazz and a silent auction whose items are worth the price of admission: a two-night stay — plus two magnums — at Two Rivers Winery & Chateau in Grand Junction, or a tour for ten and a private barrel tasting at Infinite Monkey Theorem.

Tickets to the wine tasting, which begins at 6 p.m., are $70 for DAM members, $90 for non-members; if you want to avoid queues and crowds, you can also purchase First Taste tickets for an additional $35 per person, which allows you an extra hour of guzzling beginning at 5 p.m. For more tickets or more info, go to www.denverartmuseum.org/uncorked.
