More than a dozen female toques — Elise Wiggins (Panzano), Jennifer Jasinski (Bistro Vendôme, Euclid Hall and Rioja), Aniedra Nich-ols (Elway’s Cherry Creek), Mary Nguyen (Parallel Seventeen and Street Kitchen Asian Bistro; Sheila Lucero (Jax) and Yasmin Lozada Hisson (Duo and Olivea) among them — and instructors from Johnson & Wales University will turn out everything from Tasman king salmon to chicken and apple sausage piadina to whoopee pies.

“All of the women chefs have been great role models for our students, and this is a great opportunity to walk around, try their food and get to know some wonderful female chefs, all of whom are donating their time, food and creativity,” says Catherine Henry, executive director of Work Options for Women.

Women Cook! begins at 6 p.m. at Temple Emanuel, 51 Grape Street; tickets to the event are $125 each and can be purchased at www.workoptions.org or by calling 720-944-1917.
