Create Denver Week will end on a girly note today with Your Sunday Best, a meeting of Fashion Denver’s local stylistas and the Denver Handmade Alliance’s crafty crews under the elegant roof of the Grant-Humphreys Mansion. This marks the first time a Fashion Denver quarterly market and the DHA’s trademark Crafty Ballyhoo have gone down in tandem, which means the more the merrier for everyone else: Between the two buy-local organizations, it’ll surely be the shop-till-you-drop event of the decade. But it’s not all about retail, notes Fashion Denver’s Brandi Shigley: “I thought it would show a huge sense of community instead of having the two events going on at different places. By bringing them together into one humongous, ginormous event, we can showcase our talent together, since we’re all in it for the same cause: to support local creativity.”

Fashion Denver will host its Sprout spring market in its usual format on the main floor, with three fashion shows on the mansion’s grand stairway; the Crafty Ballyhoo will set up downstairs in the ballroom with more than thirty vendors and free swag bags for the first fifty customers through the door. And, as if that weren’t enough, there will be food trucks, B-cycle stationary bike races, yard games on the lawn, a cake walk, a yarn-bombing workshop and more. “I think,” adds Shigley, “that Mr. Grant and Mr. Humphreys would be very happy to see their mansion turned into a huge ball of fun!”
