Some of the artists personal effects are on display, too: A ledger containing Audubons handwriting, a personal seal and other possessions are all part of this special exhibit put together by the John James Audubon State Park Museum in Kentucky. These things really bring him home as a human being, says Erik Mason, curator of research and information for the Longmont Museum. Admission to the show, which runs through September 18, is $7 for adults, $5 for seniors, and free to museum members and children under twelve.
The museum is at 400 Quail Road in Longmont and is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the summer. For more information, call 303-651-8374 or visit www.ci.longmont.co.us/museum.
