As a teenager, Jonathan Tiersten got a taste of fame in the cult horror flick Sleepaway Camp. Since then, he's gone on to act in more films, including 2008's Return to Sleepaway Camp, while also working on a music career. With hands in both music and film, it's not surprising that some of the cuts on Tiersten's latest five-song EP, We'll See, sound like they'd be ideal for indie film soundtracks. In fact, the hard-hitting opening track, "In the Air," is used in the new horror film The Perfect House. On the other cuts, the Fort Collins-based singer-songwriter — whose pipes, at times, recall David Bowie — delves into rootsier sounds, particularly on tracks like "Vertigo," one of the disc's highlights, which features keyboard and accordion help from John Magnie of the Subdudes.
