A Slice of Red Rocks

If you haven’t seen Johnny Depp and Tim Burton’s first film together, get your blanket ready for tonight’s Film on the Rocks screening of Edward Scissorhands, presented on made-for-the-event 35mm film stock.

But first, take in the sounds of Denver’s own Ukulele Loki and the Gadabout Orchestra, a band that features a smorgasbord of instruments, including ukulele, tuba, trombone, clarinet, glockenspiel, drums and synth. And if that’s still not enough, you can pay extra for the “Peak Experience” ticket package, which allows you to delight in pre-screening food and beer at the Red Rocks Trading Post or enjoy happy hour at the Rackhouse Pub before cruising to the screening in a party bus.

Doors open at 6 p.m., and Ukulele Loki starts at 6:45. The movie begins at dusk. To purchase individual tickets or ticket packages for this film or others in the series, go to www.denverfilm.org or call 303-595-3456
