Dutch producer and DJ Sander Kleinenberg exploded onto the international dance-music scene in 1999 with the release of his 4 Seasons EP, Pt. 1, which contained the ethereal, richly textured "My Lexicon." One of the finest progressive house records ever made, the track was prominently featured on Sasha's Global Underground 013: Ibiza and picked up by a slew of other commercial mixes that followed. Kleinenberg made his United States debut in Boulder in 2001, performing alongside Nick Warren at the now-defunct Soma Lounge. He played an eclectic solo set at Soma the following year, ending with the Beatles and Grandmaster Flash around five in the morning. Last year, Kleinenberg released his debut album, 5K, on his own label, This Is Recordings.
