Over the last twenty years, the annual Totally Board movies from Standard Films have been as much a part of the snowboard life for me and the Snowboard on the Rocks founders as lacing up our boots, waxing our boards or looking at the snow report, says promoter and Snowboard Colorado publisher Adam Schmidt. Its pretty awesome that we now get to host the world premiere of their twentieth-anniversary film at Red Rocks, the greatest venue in the world.
The second annual Snowboard on the Rocks film festival begins tonight at 7 p.m. with premieres of Marc Frank Montoyas Familia 2 and the Videograss film Shoot the Moon, as well as performances by Michael Menert, the hip-hop collective Doomtree, and RJD2, all leading up to the headlining film, TB:20. Bring your Sharpie: The crew from Standard Films has been busting their asses for two decades, and were going to have some of the biggest legends in the history of snowboarding here for the event, says Schmidt.
