I was the Flower Queen, says Dea Webb, co-owner of local vinyl store/art gallery Plastic Chapel. The costume designer took my outfit and made it into the entire room. Every time I moved, the wall moved, too.
Webb and Plastic Chapel will host a pre-release party for the film, with spooky food and beverages to celebrate
Red Raccoons fantasy-turned-horror-based nature (watch the trippy trailer at www.monkeyangel.com). Clips from the film will be shown during the event. Movie-related work by local artists, as well as actual items from the movie itself, like drawings and a sculpted mask, will also be on hand. Red Raccoon is the fourth movie produced by Monkey Angel Studios, whose second film, Hannah House, is said to have a considerable cult following in Russia.
The pre-release party begins at 7 p.m. at Plastic Chapel, 3109 East Colfax Avenue. Screening times and locations for Red Raccoon will be announced during the evening.
