MCA's Andy Lynes says that Buntport makes the perfect partner for this project, because the troupe's personalities mesh well with what Black Sheep Fridays are all about: putting a little weird in your night. "They feel like a really good fit in terms of what they do culturally -- combining a bit of seriousness with a sense of whimsy," he explains.
And no matter who wins the date, everyone can enjoy the action. "There will be a blow-by-blow account of the date as it happens, so you can sit in the café, have a cocktail and listen to what's going on," explains Lynes. "Or you're more than welcome to trail the date as it happens."
Make a date yourself for tonight's Black Sheep Friday at the MCA, 1485 Delgany Street. Happy hour starts at 5 p.m., with the rest of the festivities running from 7 to 9 p.m. Admission is $5 and includes access to all museum exhibits. To participate as a contestant, contact Andy Lynes at firstname.lastname@example.org; for more information, go to www.mcadenver.org.
